FDT Sales Representative - Latin America

At Flight Data Technologies (FDT), we develop our own flight data management solution from recording flight data, offering automatic data transmission and offering state of the art flight data analysis and monitoring based on advanced algorithms and customisation for of each aircraft tail number.

Users of the FDT product line are airlines, business jet operators and government/military organizations willing to improve their flight safety as well as optimize their operation costs.

Flight Data Technologies, Inc. is looking for a sales representative with experience in Latin American sales who will further our business by identifying, initiating, progressing, and closing opportunities for both prospective and existing accounts. This position will involve close collaboration with FDT engineers, who are experts in the software and the fields of science where the software is used.

This is a remote position for a sales professional based in Montreal, willing to make the difference in aviation safety.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales from initial contact to close via phone, web meetings;
  • Increase and develop new accounts in Latin America and some U.S. states;
  • Manage and grow existing accounts;
  • Engage regularly with customers and prospects to understand their business needs and identify key influencers and decision makers, including purchasing agents and resellers;
  • Organize and participate in sales presentations and events; explain the FDT Flight Data Management solution through its combination of hardware and software; create quotations; and discuss terms and conditions with users, procurement specialists, and other customer personnel;
  • Effectively collaborate with other team members, particularly in the engineering, marketing, licensing, and legal groups;
  • Work from FDT Dorval office and part time from home.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Present a minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience related to B2B solutions in Latin America and-or USA;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Spanish and English;
  • Ability and willingness to travel for limited times (< 10%).
  • Ability to work full-time from home office in Mexico.

Additional preferred qualifications:

  • Fluent in Spanish;
  • Prior experience in Latin American B2B sales in aviation business;
  • Understanding of aircraft avionics;
  • Previous or current involvement with technology-based companies, research organizations, or technical academic institutions
  • Fluent in French

Proposed salary:

Salary is made of a fix and commission designed to reward expert sales professional

Combined Fix and commission will offer you a combo from $ 65,000 to 195,000 and more
